{hair bow holder}
This is actually an (in the hoop)felt banner design that I turned into a hair bow holder. I am going to use this pattern to make Mackenzie's 4th Birthday banner. She wants a My little Pony party. :) Can't wait to see how it turns out.

--My 3rd cake--
So far so good....
1.) I started the cake off with {2-- 9inch pans}.
2.) Buttered my pans really well and poured in 2 boxes of cake mixes. (1 box per pan)
3.) Let the cakes cool (about an hour) and then level them off.
4.) Spread on a crumb coat of buttercream icing and place it the refrigerator for a little while.
5.) Covered Cake with fondant & decorated.
The mickey mouse on top was carved out with a mickey mouse pancake mold. The polka dots I had cut with the cricut machine.

-Cakes-
Today, I received my new cricut cake cutter in the mail. I am really excited to see what it can do. I made my first fondant cake in Nov '09--for my sons 9th birthday. He loves dinosaurs and wanted me to make him a dinosaur cake. The first one turned out pretty good--but ran into a few problems with the second one. I am pretty sure I now know what to do differently on the next one. Most importantly, I need to make sure that the cake is fully cooled before pulling it out of the pan and keep it in the oven a little bit longer, so that my cake does not crumble apart. So, we will see...
